There’s a light that never goes out
Summer is just about over and there’s a slight chill in the air these days. People continue to be super generous in giving Lulu things: toys, books and lots of clothes (the girl’s got more clothes in her closet than I do now!). Even our friend’s moms (who’ve never met us) gives the baby presents!
Labor day weekend we had a full house. Our friends Fred & Kristyn came to visit (with even more presents!) and meet the little one. The weather was great on that Sunday, so we spent a good portion of afternoon sitting outside having appetizers and cocktails, watching life in Salem go by.
Monday, after Fred & Kris headed back home to NYC, Lulu’s aunties came for a visit. They’re always so excited to see her that sometimes it can get overwhelming for such a little girl. She was passed around more than a football that day and they took pictures of her like they were paparazzi! They just love her so much.
Every day she changes, getting stronger and stronger. She is always trying to sit up on her own and pushing her little legs up to stand. She does a great job holding her head up for long periods of time, even though she ends up looking like a bobble head on occasion.
I can’t believe how much she’s changed in seven short weeks and I’m looking forward to see what’s in store for the next seven!

I know, I felt kind of bad for her that I was always trying to hold her and I was in her face with my camera and all. But you’re right, I’m always so excited to see her!! I think I should visit more often so that I’ll start calming down because seeing her is a regular thing.
That sweater is awesome!!
And look at her with her little head up!!!

Liz I love your blog. It’s such a great way to share your news. I feel nostalgic for when Lucy was that little. Now she’s a great big bruiser walking around in real shoes. Amazing. Anyway, I’m so glad you’re getting good sleep now. It was the same for us – at about 6 weeks she suddenly slept longer and it was heaven! I felt like a new person. Must get back to work now. Thanks for sharing your news.

Hi Liz
I can’t start to describe how great this website is, and how fantastic the pictures of Lucy and you and Forrest are. It all brings me back to the time when you were born and you were our special family baby, and she looks so much like you when you were born. I am sure you will go thru what we all did when you were a baby, meaning everyone will want to baby sit for Lulu as we all wanted to sit for you. Give the baby a big kiss from Auntie Dianne and me and hope to see all of you soon.

Hi, Liz:
Congratulations to all of you!
Baby Lulu is just beautiful. I can’t get over how much she looks like you at that age. Your website for her is fabulous -very colorful, imaginative, and well written.
Lucky Lulu to have all her aunties fussing over her. The more fuss, the better!
Having children brings an inexplicable joy to life – and they grow way too fast. (It was like yesterday that you were this little!) Commit these times to memory, and enjoy every second! It will be gone before you know it.
Best wishes to you, Forrest, and Lulu!
Love,
Auntie Chris
