binkie vs. thumb
Lulu was never really a fan of her binkie. I would give one to her on occasion if she was a little cranky or to keep her quiet while a bottle was heating up. She would suck on it for a while, then eventually would launch it across the room with her tongue. She occasionally might fall asleep with it in her mouth, but it never stayed there very long.
These days the binkie is pretty much dead to her. When she’s tired or slepping she much prefers sucking her thumb instead! Even daycare made a note of it: Lulu appears to prefer her thumb to the pacifier.

The little video is so cute!! Looks like shes taking after Auntie Amelia because I don’t think any of us really sucked our thumbs. We had other weird habits like biting skin off the inside of our mouths or twirling our hair or impersonating peewee herman..

Ok I have to admit I’ve been charmed and sucked in big time by little Lulu! I love her website and how you have been marking all of the wonderful events and milestones in her young life! Glad to see she opted for the thumb over the binkie. I was a long time thumb sucker myself. The advantages of the thumb is, it’s generally always cleaner, she can find it herself, it’s less expensive than buying binkies and contrary to popular belief, I did not get buck teeth! So thumbs up Lucy girl! Hope you don’t mind me peeking in on her, she’s just too cute to resist!
