4 month check-up
weight: 13 lbs. 9 ozs. (a gain of 2 lbs)
height: 26 inches!! (that’s almost 4″ since her 2 month appointment!)
Needless to say, this little girl is GROWING fast! I could not believe when they told me how tall she is. She is in the 99th percentile for height and only 50th percentile for weight. She really is going to take after her father. Lula-bean is proving to be an appropriate nickname.
We waited a long time for the doctor to come into the room. There were some cute wire beaded butterflies hanging from the ceiling, so she watched them sway while all nekkid and held onto her feet while we waited.

When I told the Dr. I thought she was teething, she gave me this long diatribe about how biting, drooling and putting things in her mouth is all part of regular development. I looked at her skeptically, but afterall, she IS the doctor. Then she felt Lulu’s gums and chuckled that I might actually be right. Ha. Take that Doctor Lady!

She said that the strawberry mark on her head appears to be receding and also gave me instructions for starting solid foods, although that will happen closer to six months. But seeing how this baby is developing, I wouldn’t be surprised if we started her on solids sooner.
She did get another shot today, but she handled it way better than before. She cried and had that what-did-you-let-them-do-to-me look in her eye, but she quieted right down when I stuffed a bottle in her mouth. She basically forgot all about the pain in her leg. And then she fell asleep.

Ha I love these pictures!! She is growing so fast!! She really looks like cousin Emily in the last picture. Shes such a beautiful girl!! I can’t help but spoil her!!

Can this baby girl get any cuter????? Love the Christening dress. Nice to see that it was handed on through the family. A nice tradition! Love the pics from the doctor’s office! Good luck if she’s teething, be prepared for lot’s of fussy moments!

Tall and slim, a great combination. Sounds like she’s taking after daddy — he always was tall and skinny. And you didn’t mention how fantastically quiet and good she was at the Christening. You guys are sooooooooo lucky to have such a good baby. As Grandpa, I am too!

She is the best! Growing at a great rate. She’ll be walking by 9 months the way she’s growing! And, she will be in yoga soon with her wonderful childs pose! So glad she had a good check up! You tell those Dr’s Lulu . . .
